You will learn how to identify the trees we come across, and delve into their various uses, including their edible, medicinal, utilitarian, and hazardous properties.

As we examine the trees, you will have the opportunity to discover their intricate layers and composition. Our tour will not only focus on native trees, but also invasive ones, and how they affect our environment. You will gain an understanding of the important role trees play in habitat, and the crucial impact they have on our world.

  • Walking through forest, field and swamp
  • Some elevation change
  • Prepare for uneven forest ground
  • Getting close to trees
  • Looking up and down frequently (changing head position)
  • Stopping along the trail for discussion
